Ok it doesnt have a carb. From memory its the case(all screw holes look good), brake handle, crank bearings feel good, big rod end bearings r missing.
Ok so after I finished splitting wood tonight and getting everything back under the sheds. I grabbed that 011 that I never got running. I was going to see what was wrong with it . It was complete including the carb. I couldn't remember what was wrong. So I walk to the door of my shed after priming the carb with way too much fuel and start pulling the rope. I see Sparks where the wire goes by the cylinder fins. (I had the clutch cover off). So I wrap it with tape. Start pulling again. See more Sparks up higher on the cylinder where it hits the fins up there. Tape that portion up. Then prime it with way too much mix again. Rip the rope. It fires up. Running super super mosquito fogger fat. Walk to the other shed to get my little carabiner of saw tools that I think @Philbert gifted me a few years ago. Adjust the H till right. It won't idle. So I let it die. Then I seat the L screw and back out a turn. Then crank it up again and it's about perfect. Runs, idles , everything. Never put a bar on or anything. But I fixed it I guess the wire grounding out was the issue, just couldn't see it in day light.

I need to see if I have a recoil cover in my pile of parts. I should sin e I had three of these things and at worst if one is busted I still should have one for this one.

So luckily I don't think I will need anything. Now I have one more running saw to try and remember to start every so often!!

I have a decent Homelite CS-50. It was gifted to me a couple years ago and I just don’t use it. It needs to go to someone that could use it, perhaps to a youngster or ???

I had it running a couple years ago and haven’t touched it since. It would likely run with just fresh fuel but may need a bit more TLC. The saw itself is in pretty good shape. It could use a longer pull cord as the one it has is kinda short. Its just dusty and dirty from sitting on my shelf for so long. Looks to have some sort of a hole in the front of the muffler. The bar and chain will also be included.

I have a video of the saw running that I could dig up if someone wants to see it.

If anyone could use it just fire me a PM. All I ask is for the shipping cost. A813BDDE-50C6-4956-839D-765B39CCBBA4.jpegCC9C6D98-6BA2-44A9-AEF9-D35F33FC59FA.jpegF1B1D970-3864-402A-9F25-B5E5B15D90EF.jpeg3FCDB791-DC75-4077-B80A-6EF604CE7846.jpeg

If the new owner wants, I will sand it down a bit and give it a couple coats of Birchwood Casey Super Blue.

That's a cool looking bar that you blued Jason!

Would you consider creating a separate thread on how you do this? I am sure that others would be interested in learning.

Thanks!

Philbert

It's not that difficult bud,I do it on my knives too.
It's always easy when you know how!

Any special tips / tricks? Degrease first? Certain brands work better? How long do you leave stuff on for? What does it protect against / not protect from? Mistakes to avoid? Etc.

I degrease, rinse and wipe down with denatured alcohol. Spread bluing agent all over evenly as possible, let sit a minute or so, wash with cold water then hit it lightly with 0000 steel wool to take residue off. Repeat if you want it darker. Protects against rust to an extent, still have to clean and lightly oil just like a gun. I use this, its a cold blue, so nothing has to be heated or anything. Pretty simple
