Bought a HF Predator 8750W/7000w generator for storm use for the house and general construction use in the barn. 20a breaker on the generator keeps kicking off. Found out Friday that my old craftsman table saw draws 22amp at 110v. My generator has two 20a breakers for 110v and one 30a breaker for 220v.
wondering if I could put a 25a or 30a in place of one of the 20a breakers. Don’t know wire sizes.
I could rewire the saw motor to 220 but don’t want to do that cause I like the 110 when I’m close to a house plug. May end up having to do that but right now I’m running a long extension from the house to the barn.

Check the motor brushes first and replace the power cord.

I just made an adapter cord with regular female plug on one end and L5-30P male plug on other end. Problem bypassed. Thanks for response

I’d have re-wired the motor. It’s what I did to mine. On 240, it pulls 1/2 the current and is about 5x as strong. You’d be very surprised by the thin wires the manufacturer used for the on/off switch, it’s a bottleneck that’s dismissed easily by halving the current running through it

Just saw the thread and was going to tell I think you can get an rv adapter for that or make one.
