Forget the saws Joe, get that Olds going. Love the color!

Thanks the color is a 69 only option color. Same color as dad's high school ride 69 442 (still have that one rused away out back). This car is going to be a cultlass cone of it.
Going to get a white vinyl top, white interior, 350 sbo.

I have zero motivation to do it anymore. Dad tore it down In 99, parts scattered throughout 3 barns at different houses.

Have the engine long block mostly assembled, sitting in dad's shop waiting to be finished.

We have a 68 cutlass convertible, 70 c10, that never even made it out of the garage the last 2 years.

Maybe some day..

I can understand the lack of interest. I drove mine less than 600 miles this year before I wrapped it up and stored it.

Great father son project. You have a few years

Yep, if he showed interest, it will get finished. Otherwise its not hurting anything just sitting.

I'm going to make a welding and porting table for my shop. It will be a table with high sides and back, dedicated lighting over the top and holes in the table with tray below to catch the shavings. I think I'll start with the 2'x4' certi-flat welding table.

Shawn,

I use the Miller 60SX table. Has a lot of what you want and not to pricey. Many options avalable for it and it's Miller Quality.

I'm just under 6' and this bench top sits at 42" off the floor. Its 3 feet deep and 10 feet wide. I welded it together with 2" square tubing. You can sit an assembled Hemi on it and it wont even creak .................... I've done it 3 or 4 times.
Electric on the bench front, electric at the rear of the bench, Metal Halide 100w lights over the bench, LED lights under the top shelf.
Its not for just saws, but I wouldnt change a single thing on this bench even if it were. The only thing I will do this winter is build another smaller one for another vise so I can file chain more comfy-like. This bench is perfect for working on, perfect for sharpening chain with the 511, but too tall for square filing.

Here is my Son, Sept of last year. IIRC, he was just north of 5 foot tall then. Now, the little bugger is just about dead even height wise !

Just for reference, the two chains hanging behind him in this last picture are 36" 404 hanging from the vise screw

Little food for thought if you build a stand-alone work table and shelve the back of it, that you can walk all the way around. Workbench top is a 2x4 framed out radiology x-Ray room, solid core wooden door. The shelves on the back side are from some 2x8's I had loitering around in the shop. On the backside of the shelves I furred it out around the perimeter and the center top to bottom with some ripped down 1x's and peg boarded the entire backside to hang tools, etc. I just stuck some different peg board hangers in it for chits and grins when this old pic was taken. It's pretty well organized and slam full with hand tools, wrench sets, etc now.

Here's the NT adjustable height workbench stools. Pretty comfortable padded stools with backrests.

All clean...

Started the ceiling. Carpentry is not one of my strong suits... didn't help nothing was square to begin with lol.

Don't figure nothing left some 6" trim boards and white paint won't cover :)

Just below and to the left of the light bulb will be a 12x12 cutout. Going to hang a radiator and a box fan on the outside (barn side) blowing in.

Ought to be plenty of btu to heat the shack. Turn the fan around if I need to help heat the barn. Above the door and out of the way. instead of taking up valuable saw space in he shack lol

Looking good. And agree with the space...take advantage of every sq ft you can.
