I painted it Chevrolet Orange so I won't lose it in the woods.

I am late to the party and skipped a lot of pages but I am going to the woods and look for some Blue Beech= Hornbeam. I think I have seen some but can't remember where.

Should make a great handle. You can hang an ax on a green handle, just be sure to leave some extra wedge sticking out of the eye so you can pound it in more as the handle seasons and shrinks. Little trick I’ve learned recently.
