I've heard of the 572's doing this and have seen it various times with 372 x-torq. I wonder if their alloy is a little softer than some other brands--maybe it's got more magnesium.
Wearing bearing pockets out is typically caused by crank shaft flex.
Suzuki Lt500R quad has bearing pockets open up often. All sort of inserts have been used to fix the issue with the best being HMW plastic believe it or not.
Some model saws are prone to this it seems. Isn’t this the reason for using loctite in the bearing pockets on said saws? I know numerous Husky models, I believe some Dolmars, etc. I suppose it can happen to any saw with the right conditions. I always cringe when I see people run super tight chains.
