I put a spring kit in my berretta 92S. The SA trigger pull dropped from 9.5lbs to 7lbs. DA dropped from 13.5lbs to 9.5lbs.
While I had it apart, i added a mounting screw for the red dot base. I found a m3-0.5 counter sunk screw that was suitable. I think it will hold zero better now.Resized_20230318_151807.jpegResized_20230318_160139.jpegResized_20230317_135536.jpeg

I went to a gun show today and on a whim I held a Taurus GX4 XL. It felt really good in my hand and had a very natural point of aim. I am seriously thinking about picking one up. If I remember right I think @Czed has or had a GX4, any bad news about them?

I never had the xl but I liked the regular one so much I bought a second one
No issues of any kind probably around 500 through both of them.
Actually there's a 50.00 rebate for the gx4s going on now.
I've gotten really good accuracy bit it takes some concentration and a good grip

I live about an hour away from Brownells and they have the XL on sale for $320 so with the rebate it would be $270 before tax. Seems like a pretty good price to me!

So far I've shot the sig 365,hellcat,max 9,shield plus and those gx4s
So far my favorites are the shield plus and gx4s
But I'd buy any of them you can't go wrong with any of them
They really have these modern pistols sorted out
I'd like to try a Kimber mako and canik mete.

My friend who works at the gunstore showed me this max9
it was actually ringing up as 329.00
another customer bought one
they do have good triggers I just don't need another micro compact I have several.

We have the Mako at my shop. They seem nice but don't offer anything that other double stack subcompacts don't. The slide is pretty big and (blasphemy alert!) looks like a refined Hi-Point.

I had a Kimber micro 9. Was an overpriced gun for sure. Fiddled with it more than I shot it. Got a sig 365 and never looked back! I have the 10 round mags for when I travel to blue states and 12 round for welcoming states.
I have been going back and forth between the 365 and the Springfield xds. I have a Taurus G3 that I won which is a good shooter but not the best carry gun in my opinion.

Although I had several Taurus g3c and really had no issues with them
Other than the trigger system they have is spongy
The newer generation micro compacts hold as much or more ammunition in a smaller package.
I sold the g3c's off.

I like the 365 because it's double stack and comes with tritium sights. The textured grip is very good for a micro compact. You really need the 12 round mag to hold on to it. It's a 3 finger grip with the 10.

Tritium sights are an option with the xds. Being a single stack the 10 rnd clip is a full grip with the xds as well.

I can't shoot a 9 smaller than my G3C or Glock 26 due to arthritis and nerve issues. If I can't solve a problem with 7 Makarov level rounds from my Glock 42 then it must be my time to check out!

The Micros are very nice little guns but they are state of the art early 1980's. I really don't think they are up to extended use either, the rather thin aluminum frame seems like it would be prone to cracking. I have a Micro .380 and it shoots great, but no way would I ever feed it the same rounds as my Glock 42.

I can’t shoot the micros comfortable. I traded my Hellcat and 365xl in and bought a G48. I do shoot my G42 good though.
