Ya know, every gun is a law unto itself. Whenever I buy one, I can just about guarantee that it will be a process of 1-3 years figuring out what loads it likes, doing any mods I think it needs, and most importantly me getting used to it. Even when I have multiples of the same type of gun. For example, I have three Taurus 856's. Two snubnose, one with a 3" tube. On my oldest one, I can keep them all on a playing card pretty easily at 15 yards with a variety of loads. My newest one, I really have to concentrate to do that. Right now, the usual pulling way left or drooping the muzzle is going on and I'm all over the place with it. It'll get there eventually, probably after I burn through much dough in reloading components and waste many many hours that I could be doing other things. Oh well.

I consider my relationship with guns and shooting to be about like a guy who loves golf, and spends much money and time on it, but will realistically never be any better than a 20 handicap. And that's ok, I guess.

Is that a 2011? The trigger does not look like a 1911.
I'm still looking at the dozens of 2011s
That cz75 is excellent though
But I have the standard cz75 already I've never owned a 2011
I've shot a para ordnance p14 years ago.

I would like to try one myself. they are pricey, so not sure they are worth it. you posted a video of a review of one awhile back; the Fusion XP pro, one of the more reasonably priced 2011s

Leaning towards the prodigy
It's dropping to near 1k now they were 1500 or so recently
I've also been looking at
alpha foxtrot Romulus
bersa m2xi
This rock island is the cheapest https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/130649/rocki+56645+pro+ult+mtch+hc+9mm+17r
It'll be awhile I'm sure there'll be holiday sales on something or other.

The smith looks to be slimmer and slicker than the tx .22 is kinda like a larger shield plus which is what I want
If it runs as good as my tx .22s I'll be happy
The biggest piece of *s-word I've ever bought was that sig p322
I've talked to 3 guy's they had bought them and had the same problems
And got rid of them
Some of them must work people still say they're the best polymer framed striker fired on the market *B-S.....

@Hinerman
I'm really wanting a comped prodigy 4.25 commander length pistol but this one is on sale at Bud's with free shipping
And the prodigy mags are 31.00 not too bad for 20rnds
The max ds made in turkey like most of the sub 1k 2011s has tons of positive reviews and a good sale going on
A comp version is a few hundred more I'm not sure if it's that important for me
The fusion that glock mags is attractive for the mag prices 3 glock mags versus the cost of 1 2011 mag

Well I went looking at 2011s I have a large gunstore near meIMG_20251101_134623694~2.jpgIMG_20251101_134926497~4.jpgIMG_20251101_135409011_HDR~3.jpgIMG_20251101_135225136_HDR.jpg

Kimber 2k11 9mm
Springfield prodigy 4.25 9mm
Eaa witness 2311 10mm 5"
Eaa witness 2311 10mm 6" hunter
Sig 211 9mm
Honestly they all felt pretty much the same
In terms of tightness and lockup
The grip texture on the prodigy was my favorite
Sig and Kimber both have excellent triggers
3-4lbs
Prodigy about 4.5-5lbs
The witness hunter I swear was near 15lbs I'd never felt such a heavy single action pull
The witness 5" was around 10-11lbs
I had the employees try them they couldn't believe it
That's an easy fix for me I use nowlin match sear spring I get them to 3.5-4lbs crisp and safe
I'm buying a prodigy soon.

I've used 8 of more of these to fix 1911 trigger's
Mostly just drop in a few I had to fine tune.
