These are getting cheaper

Yeh, I've wasted a lot of time making and testing loads that are outside half a grain what the charts say is most accurate.
If the new taurus combat 66 gets under 500.00 I'll buy one nothing but great reviews and my local gunstore sold 2 to one customer he liked it so wellSo awhile back I bought a used Taurus 85 that had the barrel clocked to one side. Sent it off to Taurus, thinking it would be a quick fix. Anyhow, my dealer got a message back from them saying it couldn't be fixed, and I could pick out any firearm up to $514.00 MSRP to replace it, or pay the difference on any gun priced more than that. I really like my 856 and see they have an Ultra Light version with night sight and 3" barrel called the Defender with an MSRP of $526.99. So, my dealer is going to tell them to send that one. I am kind of disappointed that the 85 won't be fixed because I did like it, but at least I'm getting something that is hopefully better in return. The 3" barrel is a good compromise between the concealability of a snubnose and the easier shooting and higher velocity of a 4" K-frame size, and of course the 856 has 6 shots instead of 5. With my homebrew +P loads, it should make a good woods walking partner.

Tight group. How far?Cow print guns sold like mad at the shop I used to work at. My problem is, that looks too much like a toy or novelty instead of a deadly weapon.
S&W 67 with my Outdoorsman load. 3.6 grains Hodgdon Clays under a 156 grain lead flat point for 837 fps and very accurate.

I had a early springfield loaded .45 from around 1997We sold the hell out of Tisas 1911s at the shop I used to work at. They were way ahead of every other cheap 1911, I thought they compared well to the Taurus and lower end Springfields.
