How's this for ported ? internet image
My raging bull 454 was ported factory, definitely louder then unported. Next one is going to be a super red hawk in 454 or a smith 460 so I can utilize my 454 dies and brass ect since the Taurus only made it through 20 of the 100 I had loaded.

What happened to the Taurus? I have a Raging Hunter in .44mag and I have no interest in going back to a Ruger Redhawk.

Well the timing went out and it split a bullet on the forcing cone blowing the barrel open, first they tried to blame it on my uncles reloads but I took pictures and showed them how it kept getting more off center with every round of that cylinder full. First one was on center then further and further off till just hit edge of primer on last round that blew barrel. Sent it in they “fixed” it and sent it back. When I got it back the barrel was so crooked that the front sight blade went across the opening in the rear sight at an angle. They claim they check an test fire every gun before sending back. Told them they should fire whoever qc’d my pistol, sent it back and they repaired again. When it came I shot one and a half cylinders through it on the second cylinder it locked up i couldn’t cock it get the cylinder to swing out or anything for about 5-10 min but finally it out to remove the last few rounds. Called Taurus and sent it back again they returned it a few weeks later saying it was all fixed. I ran another couple cylinders and same thing happened. Sent back and they said they replaced all the internals in my frame with new in a letter. I felt the action and it felt better than it ever did but buy this time I had no faith and brought it and the letter and traded it for a stainless Blackhawk 44. When I got the 454 it was basically new because an older friend of mine found out it was to much for him and wanted my 10mm tangfolio so traded even up. I’d bet the raging bull didn’t have 200 rounds though it.

The British Army new rifle selection process is still ongoing. Two phases, Hunter and Grayburn.

Project Hunter selected the L403A1 (KS-1), a Knights Armament Corporation rifle, for special forces and Royal Marines.

Project Grayburn has not completed yet. The two main contenders appear to be Sako and Berretta. Although the army might just go with the KS-1 to simplify logistics.

Not sure where the Glock rifle stands in the process.

They ought to go back to the Lee Enfield but in 5.56. From what I have read, the L-E could lay down accurate fire faster than any other bolt action. I think of my Ruger American Ranch 5.56 as a modern jungle carbine!

In my experience, Taurus is a pretty safe bet if you stick with guns they have made forever like the .38 and .357 revolvers and the G2/G3 series. When it comes to the more exotic and oddball stuff you have better odds of success in a casino. If I'm touching off a .454 in a handgun it better say Freedom Arms or Ruger on the side.

Will be a ruger super red hawk or a 460 smith for the next one. I like them both because you can shoot anything from a 45 colt cowboy load to a 454 or 460 hot load that will stop about anything.

I think the .460 would be a dandy lever action round and all three rounds should feed in the same action. The Marlin 1895 would be perfect for it, Ruger are you listening?
