And I’m not saying people haven’t had good luck with Taurus and I know all companies can have issues but the way mine was handled didn’t inspire confidence in the repairs especially with a cartridge as big as .454 or 480 ruger/460 smith.Yikes! Now I understand why you don’t want to go that route.
Yeah, that type of customer service makes me hope I don't have issues with any of mine. And I’m not saying people haven’t had good luck with Taurus and I know all companies can have issues but the way mine was handled didn’t inspire confidence in the repairs especially with a cartridge as big as .454 or 480 ruger/460 smith.
I have 4 older taurus revolvers. I haven't had any issues. I did not know their customer service was bad.I buy Taurus and Rossi guns knowing full well that their customer service is not much above none at all.
What is wrong with them to be marked down so much?
Many positive reviews on them but apparently the looks of that series never made it popularWhat is wrong with them to be marked down so much?
Honestly If I was in the market for a inexpensive quality 9mm I'd just buy the arex delta mWhat is wrong with them to be marked down so much?
Bob Magnum. 300 wsm necked down to 6.5 with a 130 grain bullet (maybe larger) compared to a 6.5 grendel 107 grain. Ladder testing 4 shot groups best load was 1.5 inch at 600 yards light crosswind. Worst was 2.5”. Bob’s doing not mine.
It does, doesn't it. Case should be a fair bit longer than the grendel than what it shows. The overall length difference looks about right. I may have forgotten that part. That looks like the case body has been shortened as well as necked down?
Thought about that. Pretty sure he told me he had necked down to.264 from 300. Been awhile.I wonder if that one is actually based on the Winchester Super Short Mag. They came in .22, 24, and .25 calibers and were around for about 15 minutes during the short mag craze of the 2000's.
You guys with Winchester 94's in .30-30: do you find it likes 150 or 170 grain bullets best? My Marlins do great with Hornady 170's so that's what I feed them. My 94 shoots 170's well within minute of deer, but I'm wondering if 150's would do better. From what I understand, the Winchester has a slower twist than Marlin, so in theory a lighter bullet would be more accurate. My 94 wears sights and has me pulling the trigger so I'll take all the extra accuracy help I can get!
I think that’s a side effect that has to happen when necking a round down depending on how much the shoulder angle will change effectively making overall length shorter. It does, doesn't it. Case should be a fair bit longer than the grendel than what it shows. The overall length difference looks about right. I may have forgotten that part.
