27db average reduction?
I wonder what a rubberized coating would do for things?
Some of the rubber material used in roofing and window work?
Yeah, you get that adhesive to deal with when it needs changing.
Oh yes, maintenance issues and life span of the coating(s) would need to be understood if you try that route.
Perhaps a shrink wrap layer or two covering it?

Just spitballing here guys.
Backpack blowers and string trimmers are what started me to wonder if the firearms kit might be adapted for our OPE.

Global ordnance had the large grip modules for 30.00 on saleIMG_20260426_090233540.jpg
Knocked out 2 pins and slapped the fcu into it
I'd found oem mec gar 19rnd mags for 21.00 each on sale IMG_20260426_090200003.jpg
Even more comfortable than the m
I changed the grip module on my rxm and it was an absolute *b-word fcu barely lined up
This one is very easy to swap.IMG_20260426_090356511.jpg
10 more rnds in the arex and half the weight loaded than my 1911

I now have about 200 rounds through the new SP-101 and it shoots great. This chunky little wheelgun really soaks up energetic reloads, doesn't feel any different than my Service Six and other full size .38's. I can keep them all within about 2.5" at 15 yards with my pet Outdoorsman load, which is as good as I can do with any handgun. I would say accuracy will get even better with time, as the trigger pull is still pretty stout but very smooth and consistent. The full stainless construction is a big plus in the summer when I'm sweating all over the place!

I wonder if Arex and other non-Glock pistols are going to start gaining market share now with the various Glock bans being enacted. It will take years for them to get overturned in the courts, and that creates an opportunity that probably couldn't happen any other way. Even in gun friendly places like where I live, I'm seeing alot of people moving away from both Glock and Sig. Every shop has plenty of nice used examples of both at good prices and they just sit there. Me personally, I've been getting back into revolvers big time.

Just guessing the smith 2.0 is the only other game really big enough to compete directly with glock
Smith is already huge In law enforcement.
Personally owning examples of all 4
I'd take a cz pl0c or f if I was in law enforcement
Arex m or l as second
I doubt anyone is making a dent In glock in law enforcement at all
except the ruger rxm a little
I consider most everyone ahead of glock at this point
Echelon, pdp are also excellent but I've never owned one.

Got it home today, and i can say i am truly impressed, fit and finish are top notch, and significantly smoother than many other guns i have operated, and it has only had the test rounds thru it at the factory so far.... gonna sling some lead tonight after work...

Got to shoot the 1911 tonight.... man that thing is smooth... with the .45acp i was expecting a kick, but it has enough mass that it shoots noticably softer than my gforce g26 clone...only had time to run a few mags, but had no issues so far...

Did you guys ever get norinco 1911’s down there?
I gambled the $250 years ago and was throughly impressed with the value of it. I traded it for a surplus Jericho 941 and regret it sometimes.

Yes in the 90s before the import ban
I had one it was an excellent accurate pistol only like 200.00 and new examples were common
if I knew how good they were i'd have bought a bunch of them

Wilson combat stopped customizing Springfield armory made on brazil in the 90s because the quality was so bad.
They would build norinco's and that says a lot about the quality.
It was hard to find quality slides and frames Caspian was the only game in town unless you found a colt.
We built several on essex frames and slides they were ok but cast.

Need some good grips it'll make it much more comfortable and controllable.

It already had the slick wood pulled for some classic double diamond g10 checkering i had sitting around, but i also have some fisheye texture g10 grips on the way...along with a combat hammer, ambi extended safety, and better beavertail grip safety... probably gonna drop a trigger in the cart here soon too, moreso for looks than anything🤣 the stock trigger is nice and crisp and a decent length of pull for my hands...
