Anybody have a Ruger LCRx? I looked at one at the shop and was impressed. Awesome double action trigger, single action was pretty good. Sights are alot easier to see than most snubbies and the front blade can be replaced. I like how it's an old school gun with all the benefits of modern materials and design, and you know Ruger will take care of you if you have problems.
I've shot them nice pistols I shot a 9mm and a .357 both 3"
Never owned one though
But they used to be 400.00 back then.

Now this I will buy
CVA cascade just introduced these .22lr bolt action rifles
They own bergara rifles and these are made with bergara barrels at least
I've seen online prices under 350.00

I have the 452 lux 22 mag. It likes CCI 40gr hp and Federal 50gr hp. Winchester super x 40gr hp isn't bad either.
Sorry for the late response, but weather and family, you know. Mine is a 452-2E heavy barrel. I've not inventoried the ammo I've tried, I know I tried some 40's but not sure I've gone to 50's. I'll give those two rounds a try, thanks for the time!

Another snubnose revolver I may end up with is the S&W 638 Bodyguard. I have a 637 and it will outshoot many full size revolvers, at least out to 15 yards. Which is strange because it's tiny, weighs nothing, and has microscopic sights. My grandfather was a jailer for 32 years and always had a nickel model 38 in his back pocket. Which disappeared after he passed, thanks to a certain never-do-well by marriage who offered to "help" clean up his house after the funeral.

Still shooting the Taurus 605, it really likes the Lee 358-158-RF lead bullet. My mold drops 'em at 162 grains, I load them with 3.8 grains Hodgdon Titegroup and a CCI primer for 740 fps. This load is shoots right to the factory sights and is very accurate so I'm not gonna change anything.

The more a .22 rifle mimics a centerfire the easier it is to shoot accuractly I've found
Yep. Thats a 15 bird dailey limit with the 77/22 lr:

Then that Ruger 338 rcm carbine feel real fkn familiar on those 60 inchers.

Ran one but returned it for an sp101. No enough weight for 180s. Recoil was so severe, blood blister would pool up around my web area of my thumb. The all steel Sp101 just enough weight to tame the 180s. Then settles better with light small game loads. Steel boy! STEEL:

You'll be surprised to know I've never owned a .22 mag
In the 80s I had a Ruger single six convertible and h&r convertible .22/22mag
Always ran the 22 mag cylinder in the single six convertible. 1400 fps over the chrony, which is right there with 22 lr velocitors from a rifle. No cripples.

I should add that I would get the .38 Special snubnose version and feed it Lyman wadcutters. I save the .357's for my Marlin and Rossi lever actions.

They dropped the price of the smith 22x to about the same as Taurus goes for now I knew they would View attachment 482959i really like mine and it's neck and neck with the tx .22s i'd take either one
Taurus we're cheaper before the frt craze
Taurus can't keep up with demand for the TX22. I had been waiting over 6 months for their pro conversion slide and barrel kit to become available. It has been out of stock for years. I gave up when I found a decent price on the SCR variant and bought it.
