Got a reminder yesterday afternoon, why I hunt coyotes.

When I was a kid in Michigan they still had a bounty on coyotes. $15 for a male and $20 for a female. Never shot one though. We had some property up by Fife Lake (north of Cadillac) and that place was over run by coyotes. Sold that off last year so not my problem anymore.

I am 73 and do not remember a bounty on coyotes in Michigans lower. there had been a bounty of foxes and rats.

I grew up just south of Cadillac.
