Getting more zip out of a Stihl FS-131

That 20 -2 head is awesome if you put some of the bigger braided line in it... It comes with a few strands of some line that I destroyed easily. But I love the way it cuts, on the down side you have to change out strands a lot. Until they come out with indestructible line. Right?...

Maybe some 1/16” aircraft cable!!!

Still can’t overcome the rpm disparity.

It's been a long time since I put a tach on a 4-mix, but I don't recall them as being more than 1000 rpm's slower than most other trimmers.

I'll bet that things a beast!

It is but it is heavy and not comfortable to run. I also have a FS350. I still cannot find a harness I like.

Most 4 stroke lawnmowers, snowblowers, etc. run between 3000-3500 rpm

Most chainsaws are running up to 4x that

Over 30 years ago I had to run the 2 stroke Lawn Boys. I hated them. They were replaced by a 38 inch 14hp Deere walk behind. Now that thing mowed.

Most of the 4mix stuff runs at 10,5 to 11k rpm.... just saying....
