Fs110 intake leak.

I've got a Fs110 that just got some work done and it's still leaking between the carb and the plastic piece its mounted to. New gaskets and everything was flat when I put it together. Smear the gasket with gasket maker? It's not bad, just enough I can tell it's there with break cleaner. Anybody got any ideas?

I'll add that it runs and operates just fine.

How are you diagnosing the leak? Leak down test or spraying ether/carb cleaner?

Brake clean

It is probably getting around the throttle shaft.

Huh. It's a brand new Stihl carb...
Makes sense though.
How do you go about fixing that?

You don’t. It’s only a factor at idle, which is when there is significant vacuum there.

Great! Seems strange that they can't make it to were it doesn't leak but oh well.
