I feel for you. I love my 2139 when it runs right but since I’ve had it that has been rare. :-(

I was gonna suggest some silicone spray lube.

Evaporations cools...manifold on my VW gets really cold. Can you duct some hot air towards the carb?

I've got the winter hot air shutter open. Problem is the saw is hard to keep running until it warms up enough to not stick. When it's sticking, the saw is running very lean, even to the point of backing out both high and low jets a full turn just to keep it running

Might be sending this saw down the road. Screwed with the carb again today, checked throttle plate, all was well. Went out cutten some wood, then rested for 3 hrs and went back at it, well guess what, throttle was sticking before I even started it up!
Pissed off, I called husqvarna on the backordered status of that zama and it looks like sometime next month!

I wonder if it’s something to do with the expansion rate of aluminum vs. throttle plate and shaft.
I’d probably take it apart and clean/polish/lube everything...

This morning it was in the crummy getting pre warmed, ran perfect right out of the gate. The lunch time episode it sat outside at 38degrees and slight rain.

Not to long ago a guy could get an HDA 198 for around $40. Not sure how prices are looking today, @Onan18 would know.

Oops, didn’t realize the other one was stens not zama. I tried posting the link to this one but it keeps redirecting to the damn stens carb. ADB357C5-6070-435A-AE74-4B78F4DB735E.pngIf you type it into ebay it should come up.

Last year Rotary was set up to be a direct distributor for Walbro. This year Husqvarna put a propriatary lock on the HDA-198 and the HDA-191 that Walbro could only sell it to them. They are available from Husqvarna but are ~$110.00 plus tax as of 12/20

I have not found a single "replacement" carb that actually has a large venturi like the el42. It says its a replacement for el42....but really its just a replacement for el32...which is the size carb stock on a 350.

Id stick with the oem el42 from jacks.

Oh btw....very rare do they have stuff in stock :(
