No it shoots a small exterior ring shank nail- I use it to install fence pickets, t1-11, LP smart panel, and duratemp and dutch lap.

I went to the air nailers thread and found my old post.... its a ez-fit cn65sp coil siding nailer.

002.JPG 003.JPG I have owned Bostitch framer 28ww and Hitachi finish/brad nailer, they were average at best but when time came to upgrade I went to Senco and wish I made that move to begin with.

Senco's have been excellent for my needs, little pricey over others, built for the long haul.

I generally use Hitachi nails, absolutely hate Grip Rite nails, they suck.

I upgraded my compressor last fall to a Makita MAC700, super quiet, good recovery for my use. It replaced a 7 year old Porter Cable pancake, impressive upgrade for sure.

The finish nailer is very light with a magnesium body, has been jam free in 1.5 years of use, its like how we look at saws: ergonomics, balances well, easy to maintain and of course looks good doing the task at hand. :D

The framing nailer has a better feel while using than the Bostitch did, both are low profile nailers, which the low profile being perfect for me rebuilding the house from Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy floodings.

http://www.tools-plus.com/ is where these are from and I also have been buying from them for 20 year plus. CT based store, with a impressive online presence.

What gun and nail would you use to install 1" boards on a ceiling? Would 16 gauge finish nails be sufficient?

If they're 2" an you run 3 per stud I wouldn't be afraid to hang a light from it. Not to sound slick but ya know within reason.
