I am looking for some suggestions for foam filters to replace the standard paper cartriges that come from the factory on the following saws, in order of importance for me. Would like folks input who have had success / like the foam ones they have and/ or ones to stay away from especially if they have difficulty with installing / re-installing them. I know there are probably not many Echo users compared to the Stihls , gonna probably have to ask on other forums also to get feedback for the Echo but hope not.
1) Echo 590-( most important for me )
2) Stihl 251
3) Stihl 660
4) Stihl 066
Thanks fells

Are you looking to modify your saw to run a Uni or K&N or trying to pack it into its current form factor? The only foam filter I have right now is a Uni on my 2100. It sticks up out of the top cover, but that is ok with me. I need to get a prefilter for it to help keep some of the crap out. I have not used it much yet, but so far it has been easier to clean and maintain than the standard filters that come with the saws. I went with Uni due to price, but think that K&N would work fine too.

You might be surprised, there are quite a few on here that run Echos.

Not looking to modify- I just dont like the factory stock morphadite looking shaped crappy filter it came with. Have read nothing but bad comments about it and I know pretty well the foam is better
