Fixing faded Stihl Plastics?

I have used a buffing wheel with WD40 to help some faded plasticks.

"Floods penatrol" works very well. Gotta put it on wet. Let it set a few min then rub it in with the rag you applied it with. Then rub it with a dry rag. It seems to bring the base color up to the top. It also seems to soften the scratches almost like it melts the sharp edges or something. It leaves behind a armorall type finish when done.

Here's some that i dyed Orange,they didn't shine back up.
I may try buffing them.I have a 084 that is mint with faded covers,it would be nice to be able to get them to shine
