All the way from battery powered up to 90cc, depending on what needs to be cut into firewood.

My favorite ones are my freak PS-460, my PS-550 & my PS-7310.

I usually end up taking 3-4 out for any given cutting occasion. I'm partial to the ported 50cc saws primarily of the 346xp variant. If the wood gets too big for that, then I pull out one of my ported 70cc saws. If I'm going somewhere with just one saw, I grab my 034 that was rebuilt with an 036 top end and ported by Doc. It is small enough for cutting smaller wood, and with a 25" light bar, I can easily cut the bigger stuff too.

Seems we have had some shady individuals join lately as I seen another new member got the boot.
I think Randy had a list of the idiots like Fabz that tried to get back on this site. It will probably take the mods some time to develop a list

50-60cc seems like the sweet spot. I like my 261s but the 2065 takes a beating an asks for more.
I've been grabbing my 2065 for firewood more and more. It doesn't feel as bulky as my 044, and smooth enough that it's not too exhausting to use where I'd usually want a 50cc

Depends on specific target. 50cc for limbing/branch wood bucking & trail maintenance. 60 or 70 for log bucking or noodling. 80 for big wood. I'm in the woods farting around with something every weekend that weather allows. The 50cc goes with me more often than the others.

As for size and type, I tend to run 67-76cc saws with 24” bars and full wraps as a standard for firewood. Most of my firewooding involves felling, limbing and bucking dead pine in the mountains. Full wrap allows me to stand on the best side of the tree, and 24” is easy on the back when limbing. If I’m not running a 24”, then it’s probably a 40-50cc half wrap saw running a 16” bar. I love running lightweight saws with shorter bars in woodpiles. If I have to scramble around piled up logs and cut them to length, I’d rather do it with a light saw. The short bar is nice because it allows me to buck individual rounds while dogged in without going too deep and hitting the logs behind them.
