This project has been a long time coming, but I finally had a chance to run my 394 in some wood. All I can say is Wow. It was an odd shaped stump with a fork about 5' up. Ran a full tank through it with smiles the whole time. However I will be paying the price for limbing with it.

Plane Jane stock. No need to for more IMHO. Made quick work of that oak. The 32" bar was just long enough to cut all the way through the base. Had a 1/4" steel cable up about 30' and jacked the tree the way I wanted to go. The pictures where took about half way through of what we did for the day. This is in my Dads back yard, I have to leave some of it for him so he has something to do. He won't mess with the 394, more than likely be out there with his 55.
