Finally an Artic model

I’ve had quite a few saws over the years and finally built my first heated one. @drf256 ported this 361 cylinder some time ago. I found all of the pieces, flywheel, generator, both front and rear heated handles and carb plates and crossed my fingers. I even polished her up and snapped some glamour shots.

Is heated handles not a standard thing in the states? We only sell 550XPGs and ordering a Stihl W saw is very easy.

Beautiful beast! My MOFO 361 likes to rock n roll. I bet yours will too

oh it does. It’s been ported for a few years now. I sold a mofo 034Super and my first gen 462 after running this. I liked this 361 better than either of those with a 20” bar.

It was hard to find a clean, low hour saw. I bought it from Jack Chin….it wasn’t cheap but I think we both felt good about the deal. I just recently lucked into the artic pieces. I had been looking since I bought the saw.

Nice saw, but a bit of a shock, not the kind of arctic model I was expecting.

I have been thinking about a 361 - never tried 1 maybe I am missing out...Getting ready to rebuild a ported 2152, may change my thinking
