To be honest with you, the little Huskys do have a place in my saw stable.
Sure I have a 385XP, 272XP, 288XP but the baby Huskies are alot of fun, parts are everywhere and easy to work on.
Alot of people are not like us and do not "need/want" +50CCs of power.

And Eccentric loves them as well :)

I like the 36-141 series saws (except for a few minor issues). They of course aren't really 1-series Huskys however. At least they're better than the 235/etc and 400 series box store specials....

I liked my box store 445. I used to cut all my fire wood with it. Well I liked it up until I realized what a real saw was.

You guys can have those 235/400 series box store saws.

Besides that 181 top cover and a 288 outer spike set.....I can't remember what else you have for me. Send me a PM.

my favorite it beats all the other saws and loaded with power since brad snelling ported it and done a pop up
it has 225 psi of compression and runs on gary goo mixed at 16:1.

:pancarta:

Another 1 trough 4-series cycle, + more two digit ones....

....and of course the different "cycles" overlapped in time, creating some confusion.

I've posted pics of this saw elsewhere, but I think it belongs in this thread as it is currently my favorite 1 series Husky. You can usually find these for a very reasonable price, as I think people look at them as being too old. But all the parts to rebuild them are still available, and these are very easy to work on. And if you open up the restricted intake track (filter and elbow), replace the tiny carb with a HDA120, do a muffler mod, take 1/4 off the flywheel key, install a .010" base gasket, and give it about 5-6 degrees more intake timing, you will have yourself a compact bulletproof fast revving and powerful 54cc saw, for very little money - just a little time and effort doing the mods.
