I’m SOL on the 371 tag.

Anyone have any suggestions how long the bottom end last on these clone saws?

Soon to be installing a used OEM coil to see if there is a difference between aftermarket and OEM coils.

Replaced the fuel hose and impulse hose with OEM lines. The screws holding the starter pawls are embarrassing.

The little inconsistencies on this saw are a PITA. I noticed the carb wasn’t functioning to full throttle. Turns out the carb has to be pushed up, the throttle cable holder has to be pushed down, while tightening the carb bolts. Otherwise 7/8ths throttle is what you get. Luckily I found such before digging in to replace the throttle cable.

I can’t speak for the “pro” models, but PITA pretty much sums up Farmertec chainsaws.

I installed a used Husqvarna 350 OEM coil (changed the lead) and gained roughly 1,200 RPM at idle. I reset idle by backing the idle adjustment out. The L needle was/is set in a good position. Idles around 2600-2800. I removed a 1/8 turn of fuel out of the H needle. Top RPM is set at 14,000 now.

Aftermarket coils seem to have a different spark curve at the expense of engine performance. Carb adjustment is easier now having the OEM coil and, throttle response is better.
