From What I remember the C model is 1/4 pitch and the non C isn't, but Echo does seems to be introducing AT type stuff.

Could be. I'm translating from the Greek websites where these saws are available, and I'm not that great at translating technical terms as they aren't necessarily interchangeable with English terms.

So, 'C' would be for carving, and 'NC' is narrow kerf (.043). Maybe the 'ES' designation is for Easy Start?

I've got an 8" 1/4 pitch, 050 52 drivers bar/chain combo if someone is interested.

We don't get them fancy bars over here. I'd like a whole batch of Quarter tip 12" .043 Sugis. I figure hard nose is better since 1/4 sprockets seem to small to hold the chain off the bar tip anyway.

I'm putting in a call as soon as my dealer opens. It's 0830 and he opens at 0900. Should have news soon.
Hear anything yet buddy? Not trying to be a pain, Im just excited to get the mods all done on this thing....lol

I ordered a new amperage controller for my TIG welder the other day, so I'll be doing several muff mods that are on my bench, including this little 2511....

I located one in a shop nearby. It will be in the mail tomorrow morning, Scotty.

Dan,the Echo CS 2511TESC is the classic 2511T,the ES is for Easy Start and the C is for Carving as you already mentioned. No electronic control yet for these saws.Echo has an autotune system,is called EMS (Electronic Management System) and the first (and only) saw that will have it is the CS 420 EMS.We have talked at Arboristsite,Kostas.

Hi Kostas. Welcome over here on OPE. The information I was reading is below. Maybe you can translate it better than me.

The third down says something about digital control for the idle and rev limiting protection.

It says digital ignition, optimal acceleration and rev limited, nothing fancy. Are you getting better with your Greek yet?Very difficult language, hard grammar.

Ignitions have been digital for a while now. Nothing too smart or active, just more capable than analog.

Yea, ported it's about good enough to be an every day firewood saw for up to 14" logs before it becomes too impractical. Stock ms150 is hardly good for 5"

The ignition module for 2511 is somewhat active at idle speeds from 2019. But let's wait for it ;)

Yea, I mentioned in the Archer chain thread that the 1/4 chain is the wrong pitch or has too big of drive links. It doesn't turn smooth in Oregon and Echo sprockets. I'd use Stihl chain if it fits better, but I'm just testing this stuff out. And the bar is obvious junk being laminated, but it too is for budget testing purposes. I'll give it credit for tearing up a harbor freight "metal" (wood) drill bit. I had to finish the tensioner holes with an Irwin step drill.

And those Archer bars don't line up with felling sights if you pull the bar up when tightening it like other bars, they are a loose fit in that sense.

What do you have their? I like the size on the 2511t but it’s useless on the 355t as it’s the same part number...

A pair of 2511t. To me factory spikes were useless but maybe that's just because we're cutting some stuff that's pretty big, up to 12 & 14". A friend of mine who owns a metal fab shop cut these out of 14 ga. stainless. Much nicer for cutting close to the ground or in thicker bark. I think these new ones look a heck of a lot nicer on the 2511t too.
