Bad as in unnecessary. I guess the only real problem is just an inconvenience of having to research 5 different options within 5CCs of each other to see which price and features you like.

Some folks call that a choice. I certainly do. I am sure marketing and sales will hash it all out in the end.

Anyone (Alfa) find out what the 'NC' euro model has that the US sold models don't? Great little saws these, best echo saw on the market IMO.

From what I’ve found just the .043 Sugi and 1/4” drive sprocket. Because of my MS150 and Kombi pole pruner I have enough chain already, I desire the Euro version. The Stihl semi chisel with safety bumpers does really great fro pruning. The 3/8LP is a bit grabby.

Dan @AlfA01 if your able to source just the echo/sugi bar and 1/4 sprocket I'd be interested and appreciative.

I'm asking around to see if I can get it separate. These Echos seem to be prepacked with the bar/chain combo. Gotta do some research and see what I can find.

The local Echo dealer had one, and it had 91PXL chain on it... Oregon’s .050 3/8... so many bar chain combos out there for this one!
The pxl is what mine came with. Currently the only "stock" set up available here in the states.

Kinda cool that Echo's & Shindaiwa's sold here are factory fitted with Sugi's as the OEM bar. I suppose you could order the 1/4" cutch drum and worm gear the fit a 1/4" b/c for similar result. Setup of these saw make a huge difference in how they cut, when you get a well ground N/Kerf chain they cut well. But there are advantages to having a wider kerf too in some cases where pinching or stringy bark is an issue.

I prefer the kerf on a 325 for forestry use. For firewood, the 3/8 would prolly work just fine. But you will also sharpen even NK 325 much less often than 3/8.

The bar shouldn't be a surprise as they are Japanese. Tsumura is ubiquitous on Echos and Shindaiwas as well.

As equipped here in the US:

Echo branded Oregon bar. Outside of a few chainsaw enthusiasts nobody here knows how good tsumura and sugihara are.

Also the bumper spikes off the 355t will fit the 2511t but the bolts need to be shortened.

I had a SugiHara laminated bar on a 241CM that outlasted an Oregon bar by over a year in hard firewood duty. 3 months, yes 3 months, VS almost two years now come to think of it.

Here's that Tsumura bar(and you can see the now much more worn Sugi on the 241 at the bottom, too):

Wow the 500 series Echo look so much bigger once you get used to the 390's.
Notice in the pic I put up above that the 390 looks smaller than the 241. That's because it is.
