Just trying to get some input on running echo red armor at 40:1 in a mastermind xtra banana 2171 johnny. I dont like stihl ultra due to bad past issues with that oil, also i dont like part syn oil such as husq xp oil. I have tried motul 800 2t, didnt care for that at all, lots of gum.

I've been running the red armor a bit and like it so far. I was told to do 32:1 for ported but that's a different topic. My Stihl/echo dealer turned me to the red armor. He showed me it actually meets higher standards

Ohh, and a ratio rite measure just isnt for me, being a cutter sometimes i get fuel in a blizzard a 3 in the morning, trying to accuratly measure oil in a seperate container is madening at best. Shaking fingers and hands, its just way easier to pour from a pre packaged bottle, there rant over, ohh wait, then those darn ratio rite's get dirty after bouncing around in the crummy fur a few days

Interesting, did not know that...

I have not looked lately but you cannot find the info anywhere on the bottle; nowhere on their website; not anywhere. It is like they are hiding the fact. I know it is semi-synthetic because I emailed them and asked them.

Gum?

I've been running motol 800 for 2 years and get nothing but a bit of oily sheen in the muffler. Nothing else. Saws look like they were just assembled when I open them, not even significant piston wash. And that's at 32:1.

You work them hard enough they'll carbon up.
