I am replacing my handle on my 3020 Trimmer, and I was wondering how to figure out where the 2 connectors go. one goes to a spade connecter and the other a ground I think.

I think you are correct, since they connect to the kill switch (hence when you hit the switch it shuts the trimmer down).
If one of your leads has a spade end, then it might go directly to the coil (#1).
Looks like the ground lead just gets put under one of the engine cover bolts - which goes directly to the cylinder (ground).
If you have the plug-in connectors, I don't think it matters which ones goes where, since when the switch is off (run position) it will not connect and loop to ground. You should be able to test it by hooking up the connectors and pull out the spark plug and ground it against the cylinder and cycle the engine and look for spark. If you don't get spark, then switch the connectors and try again.
