Ebay intl shipping

I'm wondering if the seller does get the saw back, I’d be pissed if it was not returned. as it’s not very clear that you can’t send a used chainsaw, maybe like I said maybe one of the other couriers have it in the prohibited lists ?
althought I’ve just been reading the updated GSP. Of eBay and the company that use.. talk about got it all sewn up, and up to themselves if they want to return it etc.

My guess it will be sold off by the company that said it’s not allowed, because it’s not classed as illegal here. or if it’s not sold off someone will get it out of the skip

If its anything like around here, you might see a neighborhood customs agent trimming his shrubs with it next summer.. lol

Many years ago emery air freight had a hub in Dayton ohio. My wife's nephew worked there. He told me they routinely defaced the shipping labels so the package would be "undeliverable" and sent to a holding room. Once a year they auctioned off the packages to the employees for pennies and used the proceeds to fund the christmas party. If you saw something nice you just ripped off the shipping label and put your name on it so folks wouldn't bid against you. You can't make this stuff up. I always wondered how he afforded a $1500 Canon DSLR. He said the managers were in on it too.

I will not use global shipping, lost a valuable saw this way in the past, saw was drained of fuel and tank was vented, there was absolutely no fuel or smell when packaged, but customs removed it, both the buyer and myself were refunded but that was not the point, it was a valuable rare saw in excellent condition,
Never again!

This sucks to hear. Somebody needs a butt whoopin' if they destroy that saw. I can't speak for Global Shipping, nor UK policies, but I usually avoid utilizing anything eBay offers.

I end up biting it big time with eBay's fees. They charged me 24% tax on their fees and charged the people buying from me sales tax. That don't seem right since my items are located overseas.

Well, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. I much appreciate you keeping your eyes out. Same seller and price up, yes. I checked my messages. However, I’ve already bought an orange 288 project and don’t care to pay that much for a green one. That fiasco kinda took the attraction off it. Maybe I’ll paint this one green...

Ebay did this quite a few years ago. Maybe 8 or so years, They got there asses involved in this Global shipping crap.
The buyer would buy a saw. The seller shipped to Ebays global shipping, Not sure where that was. There prices
were all messed up at that time and many buyers never got there items due to costs. It came down to ebay didn't
charge enough to ship and instead of shipping they refunded the buyer all of the purchase and shipping costs then
list the item under another user name which was owned by ebay. Ebay had several. I got my mint Husky 298 that
way. Ebay should learn to keep they damn fingers out of the shipping end of things.
