I disagree with Thomas. People on this forum aren't necessarily looking for "the deal of the century".

Now while the price seems fair, I wouldn't call it a bargain. In the months of June and July, my guess is sales are a bit down. Nobody is hoping to go grab their saw in 90-100 degree weather. Especially if you live in a climate with humidity. It'll knock you on your butt, and you really gotta watch the tuning in humidity.

I live in PA. 8am you might bee 85 degrees with 85% humidity, At 1-2pm, it might be 95 degrees with 90-100% humidity... Than by 7pm be 75 degrees with 30% humidity. If you aren't careful, you can burn your saw up if you tune it just a hair lean in the morning. By 2pm that thing is burning up.

Now, back to the point... Early spring and fall is best time to sell to everyone. Right now is a bit down. Plus, the price is basically for new. Now, I do understand yours is basically new, with the muffler mod, and extras... BUT, like I said, pros typically aren't searching to buy now, and a lot of homeowners would buy new over used+ extras at same price...

Just my opinion. But I asked 2 places for prices on this saw in the last month. 1 told me $300, possibly slightly under depending on the salesman and day... The other wasn't local, told me $320 shipped with insurance to my door. So $300 shipped without insurance, plus, assuming the muffler mod was done correctly, or at least not gutting it to make it scream, when it doesn't need to... Just for an Extra 2 bars and chains... There is SOME risk there...

Again, just my opinion.

Over there
The muffler mod is impossible to screw up. Take the front cover off drill out 3 spot welds and it falls out. The muffler is hollow other than the CAT in there, there are no baffles or anything.

The saw will be insured for whatever its sold for.

No risk here i promise you that.

So basically you're saying that his price is fair, but no one is going to buy it unless he lowers the price so the buyer doesn't have to assume any "risk"?

That's different from what I said how?

Or is your point that nobody wants to buy a saw right now, because it's too hot out? Do you think that if he was asking $150 for it it would be too hot for someone to buy it? Or do you think they might be inclined to jump on a smokin' deal?

Sorry, I just re-read that post. I didn't see that you weren't looking for the "deal of the century", you were only looking for a "bargain". Now it's clear.

Utah, unfortunately.....
Yea. You're right bro.
What happened to your diatribe that I just got done reading?

You said it was a pricing issue, but the heat was also listed as a reason for the saw not selling immediately, then you posted up alleged local to you pricing that is the same as what was in another person's For Sale Ad. I believe Tom's response to you was, and is valid.
