Been wanting to look into a more cost effective ignition replacement... $200+ for oem 9010 Ignition’s is a little ridiculous for a “beater saw”. Looking for readily available AM coil conversion.
The 9000 coil looks like a 3 screw 3120. But The rev limit would not be nice.
Looking left to right coils are : 272xp, 066, 9000... going to be a steep learning curve here... first time I’ve messed with cross brand swaps. Help if you’re able!?!?

Am I wrong to think as long as I can bolt it down, gap it correctly, and re-clock the 9000 flywheel... that I should produce spark to make it run??? Novice here so again... help!?!?

Just a few I had laying around... seems like the wiring and size of the 066 ign could be made to fit...???

Well just a bump to keep this up on my list. Looks like @166 will be sending me a part or two for this project. Thank you!!!!

Will try the 066 coil conversion and see if I can’t make a few more notes on timing for others. I have another 9000 that is clean and complete that I may try this on sooner.

Can anyone tell me the timing difference I may need to advance or retard the 9000 flywheel vs the 9010 flywheel?
