Nice score Jeff!
Mine is a 2002 ish and it’s a red top like yours. Getting hard to find them red tops. Finally got me a real deal red head today. Wondering if anyone could tell me what year it was built by what's left of the sticker. I'm guessing it's an older model with the red top. Need is such a strange word...Like I need another blue saw. Must resist.........
Would be awesome if you did your build thread!I would be reading it for sure if Ya do!Just knocked out my exhaust port after work. It's like therapy, got rid of all my stress.
I like to grind in rough. Walk away, come back and observe what I did. Then I use a sharpie to mark areas that need fixing. That way I can analyze what needs to be done and not go overboard.
I mark the areas I don't want to grind as well. Something bright like red or pink, stay away from that.
Once I get the exhaust polished up I'll post a pic. Well maybe I'll take one roughed. I have a couple green marks where I need to remove material tomorrow.
I might do a build thread. Lots of details I have learned that are not crystal clear in the other porting threads.
Reminds me. I need new fine tip SharpiesView attachment 161242 View attachment 161243 Did somebody say 7900?
Might go that route. Sharpies dont last long if you dont get all the oil offThat’s mechanical pencil. Best I’ve found so far.
Shot of carb cleaner first.
