YepNice Bret! Unlimited coil?
YepNice Bret! Unlimited coil?
It does have a 272 coil....But no fingers or bridges and no cut squish and no welded piston pop-up...Just a happy saw....
I've been to his top secret laboratory... I'm not allowed to talk about what I saw and my camera was confiscated.
Kind of like the basement? Only with a spinny thingy?
Cute Sachs-Dolmar 103/105 to the far left!He hides stuff in the basement just to tease people. Others might have taken his lead on that. Cough...

Is that a 166 wearing the monster bar sitting on the log?
Is that Your collection?
Damn, a 166 must be more bada$$ than I thought if she'll pull that bar setup.Yes 166... and yes my runners.

What length is that bar, .404"?
Respect, nice collection!
One of the longest strokes (48mm) of pretty much any chainsaw ever made I think. A 090 is 40mm stroke for reference. They lug well lol!Damn, a 166 must be more bada$$ than I thought if she'll pull that bar setup.

Carb has been cleaned and kitted.@PA Dan did you try a carb kit in your saw to fix the restart issue? Lot of the rental saws sit for a while on the shelf.
Cant remember ran so many saws lately! I'll be running it this week. How many pulls does it take cold and warm? My 7900 and 7300 cold start on 3 pulls. 6400 takes about 6 pulls because of less base compression to operate the impulse with the open ports. They all restart on 1st pull warm. If any saw doesn’t restart one pull warm, definitely an issue somewhere.
Check to make sure the throttle has free return to the idle screw and actually touches the idle screw. My 7900 throttle cable was too tight and I had to take material out of the cable holder to allow it to fully return to idle so I could tune it properly without a really fat L adjustment.Mason I dont think I had a restart issue with the Makita. What I remember is the saw taking a second or two to idle down after the long cut.
Yes 166... and yes my runners.
