Please recommend a builder to port one of my 5105's.

I have several of these ( and a 7901 ) I use primarily for firewood duty. They run great with a MM, but I would really like to try one ported. Looking for a porter that has done a number of these saws with good results and that doesn't have a long backlog. Or if you happen to have a really good shape ported one to sell?

and yes I know I need to have all of them done, but I think I'll start with one.

I am in north GA if that has any influence on recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Just to get a feel for wait time.....

Does backed up a ways mean 1 month wait? Six months? Longer?

Any answer is fine, just trying to educate my expectation level.

Right now, if you sent your saw it would be about 2 months before I got to it.

I don't do appointments, I have a shipping container with shelves for saw boxes that I use for storage. I try to do them in the order that they arrive.

Tim,
I had a 261 that was MM but I sent it on after finding the 5105s.... they just fit me better and of course the 261 was worth more $$ on the used market.

+1 for MillerModSaws.

But there are many good porters. I would avoid most of the YouTube personalities. 1 month turn around in a port job is pretty fast. Most good porters are 2 or more months out.

If someone says they can port your saw this weekend I would be very cautious.
