deciding on a new saw, looking at echo cs590 timberwolf and cs620, both 59cc.

The timberwolf bar's show as 18, 20, 24
The cs620 bar's show as 16, 18, 20, 24, 27.

with the cs620 MSRP stated @ $600 vs $420 for the cs590, is the cs620 that much of a better saw worth the $200 difference? if so, what are those differences?

FWIW: The 620 uses a two ring piston vrs the single ring on the 590.

I seriously doubt the cost saving is that much.
🤔
I overhauled a 590 and used the 620 piston with no issues. 👌

@Red97
Do you think it's worth the price difference from a 590 to 620?

Perhaps the discussion presented in this thread is why I still hang onto my CS-670 which pulls a 30" bar upon command. It never lets me down. Thank heavens for that. Parts for Echo chainsaws are anything but cheap, but the saws keep on going and going. The engines seem to produce more power with less displacement that other brands. Not sure how they do this.

Yes the cs620 is worth $200 more, bigger carb on the cs620 and better coil (unlimited I think?). A 60cc class saw will do what you are wanting to do and not struggle, a 50cc class saw may be doable, but is pushing it and you won’t be happy.
