That's how we would cut TSL Boggers to rock crawl, Worx brand electric saw. Damn things start every time no matter what :)
I have a rc crawler with the tsl sx and cut those a bit on center treads for front tires to pull harder on inclines and slick areas.
Locked axles can make sharp turns more difficult so I kept rears stock so they don't bite as hard20161023_133210.jpg

Very nice! I may have to try that! I almost bought a pair of o ring chains but they're really expensive.

You could get tires with a tractor attached to them for that around here.

Tractors in Norway they dont really fall in price, I get probleby just as much as I gave for it today.
Tires.....well, there is import tax, rubber tax, and so on lol

Ag tractor tires are made to gain "purchase" in soft dirt. They aren't real good on hard packed dirt, pavement ,hard snow totally worthless on ice.Tractor pullers carve the lugs down to about 1/2-3/4 of an inch for pulling on hard packed clay tracks .
The only thing as far as I'm concerned on ice is chains .

I've done half fast repairs on ag tires by making "boots" to prolong tire life .On those I cut the lugs and beads from maybe a 2 or 3 foot section and stuff it inside the tire to be repaired .A Sawzall works real good for that .

It's a junk yard dawg fix but it works .You might gain a couple more years out of them but once the cotton cords on a 50 year old tire start to go it's only a matter of time the best use of that tire is a childs sand box .
