Definitive Dave...Discussion

I'd like to make everyone aware that CCandRP aka Definitive Dave has taken my money and has not sent me the part that I ordered.
I ordered the part and he was paid on Oct 23 2025.
I paid extra for second day shipping as well.
My bank has disputed the payment as a fraudulent theft and today I received a response that CCandRP is disputing the retraction of payment.
I have tried to contact him many times through many avenues and have received no response whatsoever.
I hate to do this actually but hopefully it will save someone else from getting screwed in the future.
And yes I have all the back up if you're thinking im talking chit for no reason.

Did you ever receive any tracking information? Paypal will require the merchant to provide tracking information if they are challenging the dispute.

This is all I've seen. No tracking number just this bullchit tracking through the Shop app which doesn't tell you anything but otw.

I hope so as well. Maybe someone on the forum knows him well enough to make a call. Unfortunately I have no way of contacting him other than DM or his email which he apparently doesn't answer.

Yup, does not look good, I ordered an 084 piston in early Sept and also did not get any tracking or shipping info and Dave is not answering mails, DMs or telephone. Very frustrating this.

I got taken for $50.00 on this site. Now only my mother gets F&F payment. Good Luck. If you paid by CC and have some history you will get your money back. It takes time and info about the dispute. I do not sell anything but, PayPal has given me my funds back every time I was fuc^ed for over 20 years. Unlike eBay's 30 day it is six months with PP. Best of luck!

Well I'm still hoping for a good outcome as many of the guys here have said hes a solid guy. Sometimes life happens and other things get put on the back burner.

I happened to be talking with a little birdie on the telephone with unrelated business and this came up. As it was told to me, Dave was involved in some kind of car accident and injured his back, bad enough he had to have surgery on it and spent some time in the Hospital and then had some serious pain issues. He is now getting on the mend and returning to his website work. So, I believe if everyone can exercise a bit of patience this will work itself out.

I'm sorry to hear about Dave getting into an accident - that's the last thing he needs.

I've done a lot of business with Dave over the years and he's been absolutely stellar all the way through so I'm confident he will wrap up these loose ends.

Having had multiple back surgeries myself I can certainly understand how it can slow a fella down.

Well I'm still hoping for a good outcome as many of the guys here have said hes a solid guy. Sometimes life happens and other things get put on the back burner.

For more than A few years DD was very involved in the SUCCESS of this and the AS (other) site. I HOPE for the best for Dave and these ISSUES that have been presented.
The most memorable of all to me is the energy put into the CHRISTMAS THREAD each year.
Membership has drastically dwindled and affected things here on OPE.
There has to be an explanation (Not an EXCUSE) for what is happening.

We could have a spinal issues support thread. A member here was about to do some work for me, and had to postpone because his back was acting up. I told him not to worry, because i won't need those parts until MY back learns to behave.

I've had my share of back trouble as well...thankfully the last surgery was 15 years ago now.

It's way better than that, Dave is the first guy there to help someone if he can and was a big booster in the community and its future growth. I truly wish the best for him and his health as the hobbyist chainsaw world will never be the same without him. GWS D. Dave.
