Ok, so I bought this rechromed cylinder with fitted oversize piston for one of my old Homelite saws. At first, I figured the issue is below the rings so I didn't think much of it. However, the more I look at it the more convinced I am that this will be a problem. Looking for some expert advice on this.
Is there any backwoods fixes that would be possible to salvage this, or is it a lesson learned the hard way? Also, the skirt is on the verge of being a touch short by spec. Not willing to return this to the source, and not telling where I bought it. It is an older stock I stumbled upon, and was priced very reasonable because of the skirt being a touch shorter than ideal. A couple builders knew of this exact set, and said it should work well even with the short shirt.
Thanks,
Mike
