Actually, the tender loin is inside the gut cavity, and is the best meat on the deer, but not much of it. But yes, they also often refer to the backstrap as loin. The tender loin will not keep like the rest of the deer if you hang it, so we remove them right away and refer to them as "the hunters meal".

Looks like the Husky next to the gas can is nervous, it piddled a bit

I gots some saws that piddle a tad. It ain't a sign of bein nervious,
They efffffin excited. Some my saws jumped in the truck tonight.
The smart ones in the cab where it's warm and tosty gettin ready
fo some serious action.

We take em out by hand when we quarter em up. Don't even need a knife

Cover with more onions, garlic, wine, beef broth and whatever else trips your trigger.

Put it on the grill/smoker for a good while
