Hi there ladies and gents.

I have a Shindaiwa 452s (45cc version of the 501sx) and want to try and 3/8lp 12" bar and chain that i have at home. But I can't find a rim or spur sprocket to suit this chassis.

My ECHO 2511t came with a 10" and 12" bar and I thought using the 12 on the 501 for my limbing saw would be a bit of fun

I have a 16" on my 550XP Mk2 so the 501sx with the 16" doesn't get used much now.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks alot.

Here is the IPL diagram showing the clutch drum, here it shows using a .325 rim, but you might be able to find a 3/8lp rim to fit it.

This saw is more likely to accept Small 7 Spline rims. I don't think they have one on offer.

452s takes the same clutch drum and standard .325 rim sprocket as our US model echo 490/4910/501p.

The gb 3/8lp sprocket will work.

The 3/8lb gb rim sprockets works on the 501p/490/4919, but yep clutch drum may be different.

The only GB 3/8 LP rim (except for the Mini version) fits standard spline drums, not small spline ones. Its designation is GBR7L7 and you have linked to it. It is manufactured with milling in mind. Since that's what large saws are used for, it's normal for them to offer it with such a spline, because large saws use just such drums.
If GB had a 3/8 LP small spline rim on offer, it would be labeled GBR7S7 (R:3/8 LP, 7:7 pins, S7:small 7 spline). But there is no such thing.
The saw of the OP and the ones you mentioned use a small spline drum. In order for them to work with the GBR7L7 rim, you would have to match them with a standard spline drum.
