Thanks for gettin' me thinking about this, Jake Wells. Hate takin' stuff for granted that's just lazy thinking. Here's an R16 Stainless Coleman knife from the '80s and a killer cooler I inherited from my Grandpa, it's quite clean like all his stuff and dated, April of 1971!! I'll put that cooler up against anything today.View attachment 36435 View attachment 36436 View attachment 36437
I had one of those coolers for years, was nice to be able to latch the top.
I might be old enough to your Grandpa!! LOL

Here's a shot of me right before I finished off a fifth of 151 Bacardi, rode my pink bike home and slipped inside the tent to bang Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Katie Couric and Erika Eleniak without refueling:

OK the bike was fuchsia.....

That's an early 70's Schwinn, I think it used to be orange,,exposure to sun and sech has faded the paint to,,,,well, kinda' pink-ish.

Now, back to Coleman lanterns and sech..
Some shelves I've been building to better store the Coleman stuff around here..100_2305.JPG

I know I put the first pic of the Powerhouse DualFuel 2-3 burner stoves up that I'm gonna post, a little while back. Was up in the top of the shop a little while ago, as ususal hunting something that I finally damn found. Anyhoo, ran across my stash of Coleman 502 single burners. They range anywhere in age from '62-'78 by year. All run like a top. Second pic are the 502's standing on line, at attention.

I see a lot of charcoal, have you ever thought of making your own?

Negative...not when I can buy two, twin 20lb bags of Kingsford for $9.99 at HD or Lowe's three times a yr, and then get 10% off mil discount on top of that. I've got another 6-8 twin 20lb bags up in the top of the shop. We do some serious grilling around here.

But I'm all ears on homemade charcoal?...have never given it any thought. Your take?

I likey! Any of you fellas use peerless mantles?

Peerless mantles are all I use.
Occasionally I will find some old Silk Lites or some newer Coleman will come with a lantern I bought, but if I'm putting an order in for mantles from oldcolemanparts, it's Peerless in my cart.
