Wow,that's pretty cool. I should gather up a few of those. Much as we lose power.
You tubeIs there a site that gives you a good tutorial on these lanterns?
Not sure anymore, but Walmart used to carry the pump rebuild kitsYou guys crack me up. Mowing your lawn with a lantern, lighting 6-7 lanterns and hanging them all from a tree. I suppose you neighbors think you're kookoo. Nice collections you all have. I have only 2 lanterns, a 2 burner stove and 1 single burner camp stove but I do have a nice Colman Powermate 4000 generator that I bought for $75.
I have one question for you all though. I have one lantern that doesn't seem to build pressure. I believe is needs some new O-rings in the pumper or the fuel cap is leaking. Is there a good place to buy a O-rings or parts kit? I'm tempted to dig it out and get it working now. Last night I was up till 10:30 stacking lumber in my barn that has no electric. I got out my old Colman Powermate generator out to run a 75 watt lightbulb. Thinking back on it now, a lantern would have been a lot easier and would have used a lot less fuel. Ah well, generator needs some run time.![]()
Ebay has the parts. Some lantern collector types there. Not sure anymore, but Walmart used to carry the pump rebuild kits
Yeah, I burnt probably a gallon or little more of gas in the 5 or so hours running the generator. That would have been probably two cups of lantern fuel and no noise.Sounds like you need 4-6 more lanterns. You could mow the lawn, too! The fuel used to power a 75w bulb, really? Got one of them newfangled headlamps?

You can even make your own Coleman gas.Yeah, I burnt probably a gallon or little more of gas in the 5 or so hours running the generator. That would have been probably two cups of lantern fuel and no noise.
