How to?
Anyone try muriatic? Or a torch?
If I count my time invested I could have bought half a dozen new ones lol.

The question is, why do Your mufflers need cleaning to begin with.
Carbs set up to rich, to much oil in Your fuel mix, not running Your equipment WOT?!

I have found that the few mufflers I opened either had no deposits needing cleaned, or they had fatty carbon build up which got off with break cleaner solution and a scrubbing.
No accid, no fire - although, those were split open mufflers!

If you’re referring to the spark screen just remove it, hold it with some sort of pliers and take a propane torch to the screen. All the carbon will just burn off it and you’ll be good to go again.

Bad carbon deposit.
I think I've done all I can, one more, one more and it's going back on.

Did top end service. It is an 034. I found a few contributing factors as to why carboned up.
If left go another season it may have fried this saw.
Kind of nick named this one beatnik.

The 55s are a lot easier for me. Probably because more experience with them.

Thanks.

Put it in a hot fire and let it burn it out. After that blow out the residue.
