Never had a pin bearing go bad. But...... I dont piss rev and tune on edge with lots of load. When im cuttin i pl them down to 7000-9000 from 12500-13500. I pull them down pretty good but i feel the torque not just revs .got probably over 100 pin bearings in ope sleds bikes skis saws generators not 1 problem. I just mix 40:1 or 32:1 with either saber pro or sea and no problems

Now to get it out and do a few timed cuts in stock kit form and then tear it down to work it over.
Plan to port it, timing advance, take the baffle out of the muffler and add a 2nd port and fit a larger HD carb from an 044
Venturi is over 2mm bigger

yeah buy you guys cut polystyrene
Im talking 11000 - 16000 Jenka timber when its green

Over here we run 25's on 064's and up
Ms 361 is rated at MAX 20" bar for the Euro market. Mine in old beech was on a 20" 3/8 1.6 mm RS ..ok but not worth the extra load of a longer bar IMO...I would pick up a bigger cc saw for a longer bar.

You might want to do a WOT test with the filter on and another test with the filter off. Those Stihl carbs with the 'intelli carb' fitting to the filter are a big red flag about air flow through the stock filter.

Yeah, that was my point mate. I use my 064 or larger for 25" and up in out timber here
It will be running a 16" 3/8 bar here.

I hate intellicarbs.
Stupid idea making the saw compensate for a blocked filter.
It will be getting the non intellicarb carb above fitted when it gets ported

I ended up with a 18 " in the end ...stopped any nose heavy balance , made the saw lighter and found the revs were easy to keep in the sweet spot making best use of the Quad port style power. Like the 361 a lot.

The Techomech top end I ordered for this project showed up today
It's noticeably better with more open lowers, larger primary, smaller secondary transfer where the farmertec had them at 50/50.

Be very interesting to see how it runs

I'm a 'no replacement for displacement' type fellow. So I'd probably be trying the 64cc after market jug to see what it could do. Going from 59cc to 64cc is a fair bit of extra saw to pull the trigger on, roughly 8.5% more displacement.

Today is operation go faster.
I have a Tecomec top end here as well and the transfers are very different to the farmertec cylinder.

Farmertec has the devider between primary and secondary in the middle

Tecomec has it offset with much larger primary lowers

Which one is preferred?
I'm still learning quads
