Chinese atv starting issue

Chinese atv only starts by crossing selonoid. I have 2 of them for my kids and both of them are doing this. Anyone in the know with these things?

I have one for my youngest. The solenoid was bad when I bought it. 5 bucks on eBay I think.

yes you need to see if you are getting 12 volts to one of the lead that plug into the solenoid.

if not you need to check the brake switch and the safety pull out switch. also the one that have the remove kill can cause a no start

this is also a only style glass fuse above the back tire need to check it

Great call! I blanked on the safety switches but I've fought with them a few times.

I'm leaning towards switches on both since when I cross the selonoid they fire up but I can't shut them off with the key nor do the reverse or neutral lights come on.

yes you need to see if you are getting 12 volts to one of the lead that plug into the solenoid.

And while you're at it, be sure the solenoid has a ground.

For anyone who may stumble upon this later down the road.. On one of them I traced the issue back to the ignition switch and have a sneaking feeling the other one has the same issue. I`ll know more when the switch I ordered arrives.
