canola oil polymerizes with heat into burnt sugar like crap that bonds to the cylinder/flywheel fins that does not easily come off without great effort
Mineral oil is natural and comes from in the ground, I'd argue its less toxic before addatives than rapeseed (canola) oil.

Why would canola oil transfer into sugar with heat? What are u talking about?

rape seed oil ( canola) When it gets hot it changes( breaks down) then when it cools its like epoxy to get it off. additionally it does dry out to the same effect plus gumming up oil line and filters. if you are running saw everyday I suppose its ok but if you let sit for quite a while then its hxxx to pay cleaning it out.
