Case prep after powder

Start out deburring everything after powdering case
Use a drill with fingers cut the flash off plugged threaded holes
Then run a tap theu all threaded holes to remove dirt and powder from holes
On a flat surface sand the mating surface flat with 320 paper doesnt take much but gives a nice surface to mate the halves together

On the cylinder surface lay a file and file off the powder flash flat and any surface junk

I just took a sharp old paring knife and trimmed all the flash off, ran taps through all threaded holes, and block-sanded the cylinder and case mating surfaces.

I took me about a 1/2 hour per case to get 'em cleaned and ready for assembly.

I can imagine though there's guys that expect a powdered case to be in the same condition as a new-in-the-box crankcase.

Clean the f!!! Cases and stuff
Remove all locating dowel pines screws and rubber plastic
And clean clean degrease

I do all that and then bake the parts in the oven for 20 minutes at 250°f and then clean them with soap and water one more time.
