I really liked my 220. Gave it to my uncle 5 years ago and he still uses it eveytime to mow.

What's wrong with an onan? Parts are just pricey but the k series Kohler parts are ridiculously over priced
onan parts r hard to find and 3x as much

How come there aren't aftermarket parts for Koehlers and Onans like there are Hondas?

There are for the k series. I rebuilt the k241 in my 220 with aftermarket piston rings and rod. Gaskets and valves too.

Very, very nice restoration. The factory 3 point is a nice option. The rear hydra pto runs a tiller like a dream.
Alex is a perfectionist. Notice the upgraded front hubs, and he also sis a 2:1 steering reduction box. Every thing that was wore was fixes. Ss tie rods and new ends. 3point is completely fabricated.

I haven't looked lately. But a VT-17 Koehler weren't a cheap rebuild.

I have only seen am parts for the k series singles. Yep my magnum 20 needs bored and new pistons, rings, and bearings and I'm looking at over 600 in parts.

I also seen he has the correct Faria ammeter too! That 3 point looks very original equipment but i notice a few diferences now. Very good job on the fab work.

onan parts are pretty much obsolete i like the kohler motors better i have a mf1655 a 1978 model came with a onan 16 hp motor was trash and i put a kohler magnum 18 parts are easier to get and not much work in exchanging the motor some of the ingersol case ones had the onan and they had some mf built by ingersol had the kohlers with the hydraulic drive cant remember what models they was though i have the peerless rearend in my mf1655 2 speed had to switch the pump motor but the john deere 400 uses the same sundstrand model only had to switch the suction pipe from one side to the other i need to find another spare because i am at the top of the rated working weight on my little tractor with loader bucket it weighs about 2000 pounds with fork attachment im at 2200 they are rated for 2500 pounds but they will pull a car stuck in the snow
