That was with a new kit. But i was playing with it. Pushing the primer balb and it stopped. Any idea what it would be. Meter lever? I never used ro test carbs for air leaks till i got the mighyy vac. Wonder how many other carbs had small leaks like this.

I can't remember off the top of my head. But there's a certain psi it needs to hold for a specific time. It's about five or seven seconds..something like that.
Usually I take a foot long section of fuel line and pressure check the nozzle from behind. I hold it tight with one hand and blow back and forth through it to check the activation of the valve and if it holds my tongue to the other end of the line then I know the check valve is sealing tight.
Older hs tillotson carbs for the older husky saws don't even have a check valve. It's just a screen that slows backward flow down to the point of it being a non issue.

15 psi is a good pressure before metering needle blow off or significant leak .

Some new off the shelf carbs won't hold pressure until fuel/mix is introduced to lube the needle and moisten the gaskets so they expand and seal.
That carb should be fine.

Other good info here too!!!
