Cannon Superbar Plus

I take it Cannon is no longer selling the Superbar Plus? I have a 28" and 32" in .063 .404. I have a roll of .404 semi chisel. I plan on cutting up all the deadfalls and crap stuff that I have with these combos on my 660. The good thing is that I have extra replacement tips.

That is correct. Piltz one of their biggest dealers bought out the rest of the superbar plus inventory from Cannon. per Bill Challenger.

Piltz has them listed on ebay. There may still be a few floating around here and there.

Last I knew they were still working on that and plan to be out this spring. Just because they don't make the super bar plus, doesn't mean they don't make the regular cannon super bar

I guess wide nose bars are going the way of the dodo. I went to my Stihl dealer today to order a 36" .o63 x 3/8 wide nose bar. I gave him the part number and he said it was available. We'll see if that is what they ship. The wide nose replacement tips were also available. I ordered a 3/8 and a .404. Can't hurt to have spares. I also ordered a roll of .325 RM and a roll of PS Picco. I won't be getting into the Picco too much in the near future but I figure I'll squirrel it away. At some point, if I live that long, I'll be getting into smaller and smaller saws.

At the rate their going I'll buy another Oregon or Tsumura. The Oregon are lighter and this 34" is wearing great.

I weight some one time and a stihl we wide nose was heavier than the cannon super bar with the Oregon tip.

Super bar plus is pretty well the same profile as,the wide nose as bar. They use the same tip. Cannon has been labeled heavy but they weigh pretty well the same as the other brands.

I like the Stihl es light for the balance and weight but im pretty sure they arent near the quality of Cannons.

They don't last as long. The reduced weight seem to better than the powermatch

Here is a couple nice bars fellows
47" Stihl hardnose and a 41" sprocket nose. The 47" is 8.8 lbs

That's close to what my 50" cannon weighs. It may be heavier since the profile is bigger in the middle but the nose is narrower.
